Day 14: Go and Make Disciples
Devotional Thought
The resurrection is not the end of the story—it’s the launch of a mission. With nail-scarred hands and victorious authority, Jesus gave His followers a charge that still echoes today: “Go and make disciples.”
This commission isn’t reserved for the spiritually elite or the super gifted. It’s for all who follow Jesus. If you’ve experienced resurrection life, you’re called to invite others into it. Discipleship is simply helping someone else walk with Jesus the way you are.
But notice the order: before the command comes the authority. Jesus isn’t sending us in our own name. He sends us in His—full of power, grace, and victory. When you go, you don’t go alone. You go with Christ, for Christ, in Christ.
This mission isn’t just about crossing oceans—it’s about crossing streets, cubicles, and coffee tables. It starts where you are, and it moves as you move. When you pray with someone, share your testimony, or teach the next generation, you are fulfilling this great commission.
Resurrection people don’t just celebrate the empty tomb—they carry the message into a waiting world. He is risen—now go and tell.
Reflection Points
1. Who in your life is God calling you to invest in spiritually right now?
2. What fears or excuses keep you from embracing your role in the Great Commission?
3. How does knowing Jesus has “all authority” give you confidence to go and make disciples?
Practical Applications
1. Identify one person
Choose someone to intentionally encourage or disciple. Pray for them and take one step toward spiritual conversation.
2. Share your story
Write or record a short version of your testimony that you could share with someone who doesn’t yet know Jesus.
3. Live the mission
Ask God each morning: “Who are You sending me to today?” Then go into your day expectantly and intentionally.
