To follow Jesus requires us to let go of our attempts to live life our own gain and purposes. Instead, we seek after the everlasting life we have in Christ, letting

go of our sense of control, pleasure, and selfish desires. Just like Jesus laid His life down to save us, we now lay down our personal pursuits each day so that we can freely pursue Jesus, who He is, what He desires of us, and what He calls us to. And it’s here we will find real, lasting, fulfilling, meaningful life - the life we

were made for, the life Jesus died and rose from the dead to give us forever. Let’s follow Him and see where He leads us.

1. Ask God to show you where you still try to control, and how to lay it down before Him in faith.

2. Pray for willingness to daily follow Him, wherever He leads.
