Day 2: Shame Has Been Erased
How much more will the blood of Christ purify our conscience?" The writer of Hebrews asks this rhetorical question to awaken us to a stunning reality: Christ's sacrifice doesn't just forgive our sins—it removes our shame. God doesn't look at you through the lens of your failures. He sees you through the beauty of Jesus.
Are you carrying shame today? Perhaps from past mistakes or recent failures? Christ's blood speaks a better word over your life than your conscience does. That nagging voice telling you you're too dirty, too broken, too far gone—it's lying. Jesus has exchanged your shame for purity, your guilt for freedom. You are not defined by what you've done, but by what He has done for you. Walk in that freedom today.
Reflection Questions:
- What past mistakes or failures have you struggled to let go of?
- How does knowing Christ has removed your shame impact your sense of self-worth?
Application Points:
- Reflect on specific instances where shame has held you back and pray for God's truth to replace those lies.
- Write out Psalm 103:8-12 on a note card and place it somewhere you can see it as a reminder of God's grace.
