Day 1: The God Who Offers Himself

Nov 10, 2025

The high priests of old brought the blood of animals into God's presence, but Jesus brought something infinitely greater—Himself. The God against whom we sin is the same God who came to save us from our sins. This is the foundation of our faith: our salvation doesn't rest on our ability to be good enough, but on God's willingness to give Himself for us.

Today, pause and let this truth settle in your heart. You don't serve a distant deity demanding perfection. You serve a God who loved you enough to become your substitute. When you feel inadequate or unworthy, remember that your acceptance before God doesn't depend on your performance—it depends on His sacrifice. Your salvation is as secure as God Himself is faithful.

Reflection Questions:

- How does the understanding that Jesus, God Himself, was the ultimate sacrifice change your view of God’s character and nature?

- In what ways do you struggle with feeling unworthy before God, and how does knowing Jesus is your substitute provide comfort?

Application Points:

- Take a moment today to reflect on how your perception of God might change if you truly embraced the depth of His sacrifice.

- When feelings of inadequacy arise, remind yourself of the security found in Christ’s sacrifice and intentionally place your trust in God’s faithfulness.
