Day 5: Hold Fast Together
"Let us hold fast...let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together." The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. We need each other—to encourage, to strengthen, to remind each other of truth when lies feel louder.
Examine your commitment to Christian community. Is gathering with believers a priority or an afterthought? In seasons when you feel weak, your brothers and sisters carry you. When you struggle to remember who Christ is, their worship and prayers remind you. When you're tempted to let go, they help you hold fast. The early church devoted themselves to being together, and they turned the world upside down. What would it look like for you to prioritize gathering with God's people this week? Make the commitment. You need them, and they need you.
Reflection Questions:
- How active are you in your church community, and how does it impact your spiritual life?
- In what ways can you contribute to strengthening and encouraging others in your community?
Application Points:
- Make a plan to attend a church service or small group meeting this week.
- Reach out to someone in your church community to encourage them or ask how you can pray for them.
