Prayer Focus - Our students and their families

Prayer

What brings you joy? According to John, our joy is found in knowing and contemplating the reality of Jesus. Do you ever give moments of your day over to just think and ponder who Jesus is and what He has done for you? Does that excite you, bring you joy, stir life within you?

As we contemplate Jesus, we are guided to walk where He leads, to live as He made us to live - in light and truth, leaving behind sin and darkness and death. We become more like what (or who) we give our attention and affection to.

As we pray for our students going back to school, as well as their families, we ask that the students would continue to walk in the light of Jesus no matter how tempting the darkness may be around them. We pray that families would lean on Jesus for strength and wisdom, even in unexpected circumstances. We pray for those who don’t believe in Jesus, that they would be drawn to the light by the Holy Spirit, that they’d come humbly before Jesus, confess their sins, turn to Him in faith, met with the forgiveness and grace of our good God.
