Day 7
Prayer Focus - Persecuted Christians around the world
Read the Scripture, write down your Observations and Applications.
Prayer
Jeremiah 33 proclaims great news to followers of Jesus, especially to those persecuted and suffering for their faith - the certainty of the word and purpose of our God. No matter what we go through, no matter the suffering and pain, even in death, the Christian has real, lasting, immovable assurance that what God has said will come to pass, that what He’s begun will come to completion, and that those who are His will never be cast out of His presence.
There is nothing and no one, no power or scheme of Satan, that can loosen the all-powerful grasp that your Father in Heaven has on you forever. To belong to Jesus is to be secure in Him now and forever. May that stir confidence within us, even in life’s darkest storms.
As we pray for the persecuted church, we ask that they would know and trust that what God has done in Christ can and never will be undone. We pray that they would remember and truth in the goodness and love of our God. We pray that their eyes would find rest and hope in eternity, where they will finally have rest from their suffering, sitting under the care of their Shepherd who knows them by name, finally home.
Take time and pray over our country from your Observations and Applications. Feel free to write your prayer below.
