Day 4: Witnesses Who Cannot Stay Silent

When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the furnace, they became witnesses to the power and reality of God. Their courage led a pagan king to declare the greatness of the Lord.

If they had stayed silent, Nebuchadnezzar would not have seen the truth in the same way. Their obedience became a testimony.

Romans 10 asks how people can believe in the One they have not heard about, and how they can hear unless someone speaks. God uses the words and lives of His people to proclaim the good news of Jesus.

Speaking truth is not only about avoiding sin. It is about joining God’s redemptive work. When we speak of Christ, defend the vulnerable, correct in love, share the gospel, or name what is false, we bear witness to the living God.

Every moment of faithful speech is an invitation for someone else to see and hear what is true. The cost may be real, but the purpose is eternal.

- Who in your life needs to hear the truth about Jesus?

- Where might God be calling you to speak up for someone who is vulnerable, overlooked, or mistreated?

- What keeps you from seeing your words as part of God’s mission?

- Make a list of three people you are praying will come to know Jesus.

- Choose one person and take a step toward a spiritual conversation this week.

- Look for one opportunity to speak truth in love, especially where silence would be easier.
