Day 3: By Faith We Act
Faith isn't passive—it requires action. Moses chose to suffer with God's people instead of enjoying temporary pleasures in Egypt because he valued God's promises more than earthly comfort. Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac, trusting that God would keep His promises even if it meant raising Isaac from the dead. Our choices in this life have eternal results. Every believer must decide: will we stand with God and His people, even when it brings rejection and suffering, or chase temporary pleasures that lead us away from Him? Faith-filled action means choosing God's way when it costs us something. What decision are you facing today where you need to choose God's way over the world's way? Ask God for courage to act on your faith.
Reflection Questions:
- What comforts or pleasures are competing with your commitment to follow God's ways?
- When have you experienced a time where choosing God's way was difficult, and how did He show up for you?
Application Points:
- Identify a decision you're facing today and determine which option aligns more closely with God's will.
- Pray for the courage to choose obedience over comfort and discuss your decision with a spiritual mentor.
