Day 3: Joy in Trials and Persecution

Dec 31, 2025

Following Jesus means we'll face opposition. If our Savior suffered, we should expect difficulties too. Yet here's the remarkable truth: even persecution cannot separate us from Christ's love. For most of us, opposition looks like awkward conversations, strained relationships, or workplace discomfort, not imprisonment or death. How much more boldly should we live for Jesus when the worst we face is someone not liking us? Today, identify one place where fear has kept you silent about your faith. A neighbor you haven't talked to. A coworker who needs hope. A difficult conversation you've avoided. The discomfort you feel is nothing compared to the potential that someone might come to life in Jesus. Trust that where God leads, He empowers.

Reflection Questions:

- What fears hold you back from sharing your faith?

- How do trials and discomfort reveal your dependence on God?

- In what ways can persecution or opposition be an opportunity for growth?

Application Points:

- Identify one specific person or situation where you’ve been silent due to fear and approach it with prayerful courage.

- Practice sharing your faith story or a Bible verse with a friend or family member to build confidence.

- Reflect on past trials and journal how God has used them for your growth and His glory.
