Today, our idols may not be golden statues, but they can be just as destructive. They might be our desire for control, our hunger for approval, or our drive for success. These hidden idols often disguise themselves as virtues - responsibility, kindness, or hard work. But when they compete with our devotion to God, they become stumbling blocks in our spiritual journey.

Reflect: What areas of your life might be competing with your love for God? Are there "good things" that have become "ultimate things" in your heart?
