Don't Do It Alone

May 25, 2025    Pastor Collin Fitzgerald

In our pursuit of creating spiritual margins—making space for what truly matters in life—we often try to go it alone. But Scripture reminds us in Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 that we’re not meant to walk this journey by ourselves. God designed us for companionship and accountability—relationships that help us stand firm in seasons of failure, darkness, and spiritual battle.

The sermon emphasizes that while we may have the fullness of God through salvation, He has placed us in community so we can experience His love, truth, and grace through others. Companionship is not only helpful—it’s a gift from God. It strengthens us, keeps us warm when our hearts grow cold, and helps us fight spiritual battles we can’t win alone.

But even more important than human relationships is the companionship of Jesus, our ultimate friend and Savior. He lifts us when we fall, loves us through our struggles, and fights for us in every battle. The journey to spiritual growth is one we walk together—with others, and with Christ.
