Day 5: From Disgust to Delight

Aug 15, 2025

Our week concludes with a beautiful psalm of praise, inviting us to "taste and see that the Lord is good." This experiential language reminds us that truly knowing God's goodness comes through personal encounter, not secondhand information or assumptions. Think about how this applies to our relationships with others. Just as we're called to experience God's goodness firsthand, we're also challenged to engage directly with people we might otherwise avoid. Today, reflect on verse 5: "Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." How might your perspective on others change if you saw them as potentially radiant with God's love? Pray for opportunities to see beyond surface-level judgments and discover the image of God in unexpected places and faces.

Reflection Questions:

- How can looking for God’s image in others change your daily interactions?

- Who has shown you God's love in unexpected ways?

Application:

Engage with someone you might otherwise pass by without notice. Share a meal, conversation, or simple greeting. Allow yourself to discover God’s presence in their story and learn from them.
