The Bait of Numbness

Are you going through the motions spiritually while growing numb to the love of Christ?

In this closing message of the “Don’t Take the Bait” series, we turn to Revelation 2:1-7 and hear Jesus’ words to the church in Ephesus. His warning is not only for a church nearly 2,000 years ago, but for us today. The Ephesians were hardworking, enduring, and committed to guarding the truth, yet Jesus tells them they had abandoned their first love.

This message invites us to examine our hearts, not just our activity. It challenges us to consider whether we are serving, striving, and doing good things while losing sight of the One who matters most. Jesus lovingly calls His church to remember, repent, and return to Him, trusting again in His love, depending on the power of the Holy Spirit, and living with our eyes fixed on the promise of eternal life with God.

Don’t settle for spiritual numbness. Return to your first love.
