The Prison of Offense

Today, we continue our Don’t Take the Bait series by confronting one of the enemy’s most subtle traps: offense. We’ve all been hurt, disappointed, betrayed, or misunderstood.

The question isn’t whether people will hurt us, but what we will allow that hurt to produce inside of us.

Through the story of Joseph, we’ll discover that forgiveness doesn’t minimize what happened or pretend it didn’t hurt. Instead, it refuses to allow someone else’s actions to control our hearts, steal our peace, or determine who we become.

You can be completely right about what they did and completely wrong about what you allow it to do inside of you.

They meant it for evil. But God is still writing the story.
