Day 2: Justified by Faith, Living in Peace

Nov 25, 2025

Being justified by faith means we stand before God not on our own merits but through Christ's righteousness. This reality brings peace with God—not an absence of trouble, but a settled confidence in His love. Notice the progression Paul describes: suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. This isn't empty optimism; it's hope anchored in the Holy Spirit poured into our hearts. When life feels overwhelming, remember that your struggles aren't meaningless. God is using them to build something beautiful in you—endurance that doesn't quit, character that reflects Christ, and hope that never disappoints. The God who justified you by faith is faithful to complete the work He's begun.

Reflection Questions:

- What does peace with God mean to you, especially in the midst of life’s challenges?

- How can you find hope in the progression of suffering, endurance, character, and hope described in Romans 5?

- Reflect on a past struggle and identify how God used it to shape your character or deepen your hope.

Application Points:

- Spend a moment in prayer asking God to reveal how He is working through your current struggles to grow you.

- Write down the ways you have seen God’s faithfulness in completing His work in you, and return to this list whenever you feel discouraged.

- Identify one way you can tangibly show peace and hope in your interactions with others this week.
