Day 1: Moving Beyond Spiritual Infancy

Nov 3, 2025

Growth is the natural evidence of life. When a plant stops growing, we become concerned. Similarly, when believers stop growing spiritually, heaven takes notice. The writer of Hebrews addresses Christians who had become comfortable with spiritual milk, never advancing to solid food. They knew about Christ but weren't becoming like Christ. Today, examine your spiritual diet. Are you still dependent on secondhand sermons and devotionals, or are you chewing on Scripture for yourself? Maturity isn't about how long you've been a Christian—it's about discernment developed through practice. God has given you direct access to His throne. Use the key. Pick up your Bible and feed yourself. Training, not time, produces maturity.

Reflection Questions:

- In what ways have you been relying on secondhand spiritual nourishment rather than engaging with Scripture yourself?

- What current practices are helping you develop discernment in your spiritual journey?

Application Points:

- Set aside daily time to read and meditate on the Bible. Reflect on how you can apply its truths to your life.

- Identify an area in your life where you need to move from spiritual milk to solid food. Seek teachings or resources to help you grow in that area.
