Day 1: Understanding Alignment

May 19, 2025

Alignment with God’s will is not just a one-time decision but a continual process of refining and realigning. Nehemiah exemplifies this as he took on the task of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. He understood that purpose brings clarity, and clarity necessitates focus. He was able to distinguish between opportunities that aligned with his God-given assignment and those that did not. In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to become consumed with activities and commitments that lead us astray from our divine calling. The energy spent on non-essential tasks could detract from fulfilling what God has entrusted to us. As believers, we need to assess our lives, identifying and embracing the areas that need realignment. When we focus on God’s priorities, we invite His presence and His blessings into our lives.

Reflection Questions:

- What are the areas in your life where you feel aligned with God’s will?

- Are there aspects of your daily routine that pull you away from your God-given purpose?

Application:

Identify one area of your life that isn’t aligned with God’s will and make a practical plan to adjust it. This may involve altering your schedule to prioritize prayer and reflection on God’s word. Aim to live each day in a way that celebrates God’s presence and aligns with His purpose for you.
